Uncle Steve Comes to Visit

My brother came to stay with us for a few days. Nicholas has been very excited about Uncle Steve's visit. Last night it was like Christmas Eve around our house. We had to tell Nicholas that the sooner he went to sleep, the sooner it would be morning and Uncle Steve would be here.

We picked Uncle Steve up from the airport around 11:00 this morning. It was a little early for lunch so we showed him the three cowboys walking their herd of longhorns Pioneer Plaza.

We had a wonderful lunch at our favorite Tex-Mex restaurant, Chuy's. It was the first Tex-Mex restaurant we went to when we were scoping out the Dallas area and it was love at first bite! Chuychanga with Deluxe Tomatillo Sauce, please! If you make it by there, you've got to try the Bandito appetizers. They are peppers stuffed with cheese and then fried. They come with this awesome creamy jalepeno dipping sauce. But don't look for Banditos on the menu. You just have to be with the in-crowd and know to order them. I love little secrets like that!

After our lunch had settled in our bellies, we headed to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather we're having. Uncle Steve is always fun to play with at a park! We played good guys/bad guys and chased each other around the playground. Somehow I was always the bad guy that got caught and put in jail.

We had to check out the creek by the playground. As usual, Nicholas loved making big splashes in the water.
