A Fair Trade

I was putting the kids to bed tonight. As usual, I put Rachel to bed first. Nicholas usually comes in her room with us to listen to me read to her. Sometimes he reads to her and sometimes he sings her a lullaby. Tonight he brought a special stuffed animal from his room to let Rachel borrow for the night.

Once she was in bed, we went to his room, closed the door and I read to him. When we were done and said prayers, I opened his door to step out and found this sitting outside his door.

It is Rachel's little horse that she got for her birthday. She had apparently left it for Nicholas in trade for the animal he brought her.

They are so cute!
