Garden and Gun

Recently when I was waiting in the lobby of a salon waiting for my hair stylist to call me back, I started browsing the magazines lying around.

People, Newsweek, Parents, Garden & Gun.

Wait!

Did I read that correctly?



Garden & Gun?

That's a joke, right?

What do gardens and guns have to do with each other?

Well, I guess "Southern Living" just didn't cover everything a Southerner might want to read about.



But, of course, being geared towards the beautiful South, there must be some good recipes.

And what makes for a better recipe than bacon?!



Yep, bacon wrapped butter crackers. Fat free, right?



I found myself quite at home reading this magazine. It was a little pretentious, but then again, isn't that a Southern thing?

I really enjoyed the articles though.

Perhaps it was because they all reminded me of home...



I checked out Garden & Gun online and although I'm not signing up for a subscription, I joined their weekly newsletter so I can get my weekly fix of flowers and ammo.
