Kids love to play. Mine are no exception. Play time begins the moment they wake up and ends when they fall asleep at night. Play time is even included at meal time. We try to promote good manners at the table but sometimes you have to make exceptions when fun and learning are involved.
Today Rachel had some sliced turkey, broccoli, and cheese for lunch. Then she asked for some cereal to munch on as well. Her food ended up on the table and the bowls became entertainment for the next 45 minutes!
I love watching her experiment and learn by doing, even if it means more of a mess for me to clean up afterwards. She is learning pouring and stacking while strengthening her pincer grip and improving her hand-eye coordination over lunch - and she just thinks she's having fun!
