Fair Park Holiday

We went to Fair Park Holiday in Dallas this weekend. It was cold and a little drizzly but we were bundled up and warm with Christmas spirit. We enjoyed music by the Dallas Wind Symphony Quartet. At 6:00, there was a special candlelight tribute to the men and women serving in all branches of the U.S. military. May God bless them and bring them home safely!

This was followed by the official City of Dallas Tree Lighting Ceremony.

The best part of the evening was the unveiling of the newly renovated Esplanade Fountain with it's “dancing water” performances synchronized to music and holiday tunes. My favorite performance was the Texas-themed show. I don't know the name of this song but Stuart and I call it the "Beef, It's What's For Dinner" song because it reminds us of that commercial by the beef association. Notice the water making a lasso in the center of the fountain. So amazing!
